Combs Contributors

 I'd like to extend a very special thank you to all of the Combs family members who made my endeavor possible! A good part of our information comes from conversing with Combs family members.

By sharing information for your perspective families, it has allowed my web page to grow and has enabled us to merge families. Any attempt by me to name everyone I've corresponded with would be futile.

  
                                                

 

 


Chad William Combs

When I was frustrated and defeated in my quest to trace our Combs Ancestry, my cousin Chad inspired me to continue on. He actually visited Kentucky in an attempt to trace our roots, and he provided supporting documentations and pictures of the family of Ulysses Grant Combs. We are all indebted to him!


Other Major contributors

Aside from Chad, there have been several other major contributors.

  1. In July of 2010 two people got me off my butt and back into the chase. Thank you Rachel Elizabeth Combs (daughter of Todd Michael Combs) and Larae Farmer (Yvonne Combs Farmer Family).
  2. Hazel Mozell Nelson Russell - Hazel's book "James H. Combs Family 1822" was a huge source for much of my data!
  3. Lisa A. Combs Creech from Bloomington, IN also collected a wealth of information for her James Allen Combs Family. She says she got a lot of her information from other people, ancestry.com, census records, family members, word of mouth and from a book on Combs Genealogy by Dr. Josiah Combs..
  4. The "Combs Website" on USGenNet is a great source for anyone researching their "Combs Ancestry".
  5. A special thanks to all of those who posted their Combs lineages on sites such as Ancestry.com and Genealogy.com! Ancestry.com is always a great source for things such as census records, military records, passenger records, mariages, births, deaths, .etc. The Ellis Island and Church of Latter Day Saints are also helpful resources.

If If I didn't mention you by name, please know I'm thankful for everyone who has shared their family information. If you are a descendant of James H. Joseph Combs, and I don't have your family listed on my "genealogy" page, please email me. I'd love to include your Cunico family on my web!!!!
